Biography

Claudia began her artistic education at the Ortweinschule Graz, attending the Graphic Design and Illustration class followed by studies at the Masterclass for Graphic Design in Vienna at “dieAngewandte”.

After many years working for advertising agencies as an art director and Illustrator in Austria and Germany, she started her freelance career in 1992. In her work she focus on surface and pattern design and was privileged to become part of the Hermés-Paris freelance artists team during 1993, designing some iconic silk scarfs like “Tohu-Bohu”, “Paperoles”, “Musiques des Dieux“, „Pierres et Cristeaux“ and many others.

Besides this, she worked as designer, art director and consultant for brands in the porcelain and textile industry, like Villeroy&Boch, Augarten Wien and other national and international brands.

Following her lifelong fascination with jewelry design opened her the opportunity to design fashion jewelry for different brands like Ciro, Escada and others.

The interest in the manufacturing process and wish to express and create her own jewelry led to the decision to study again at the Masterclass for Jewelry and Metalwork at the Ortweinschule Graz, where she graduated in 2022 .

Now ready for new personal artistic expressions in different fields.

She lives and works in Kumberg.
